The emotional Edge announced his retirement in the press conference where he revealed that there were issues with his surgically repaired neck that caused a serious pain. Edge had an MRI the day after WrestleMania. Edge was advised late last week to stop wrestling or risk further damage and possible paralysis if he continued to perform.
Edge has the history of suffering injuries especially since 2003 as he suffered numerous injuries which include torn muscles, a broken jaw, and most recently breaking one of his Achilles tendons in 2010.
